Where we work
We cover the Boroondara area street by street. It groups naturally into three kinds of move, and knowing which one is yours is half the plan.
The busy corridors. Trams on Glenferrie Rd and the full length of Burke Rd set clearway hours, so here the first move-day question is always the tram: we time the loading window and lodge the Boroondara permit before the truck rolls.
Deep garden blocks above the Yarra bend. The clearways sit on the boundary roads (Cotham Rd, Whitehorse Rd), while the real work is the long carry from an estate gate to the front door, under an established plane-tree canopy that a pantech has to read.
Canterbury has no tram through its heart, and Surrey Hills, Hawthorn East and Ashburton keep the trams to their edges. These are the inner east’s most truck-friendly streets, with wider verges and lighter permit zones once you’re off the main road.
Period-home field guide
The inner east has one of the highest concentrations of heritage homes in Victoria. The age of the house decides the hallway width, the driveway opening and the carry, so it shapes the crew and the truck we send.
